Shooting Stars technical adviser, Salisu Yusuf, has appealed to supporters to remain patient after his side played out a goalless draw against Nasarawa United.

Yusuf admitted that he was disappointed with the result but insisted that there is enough time for the Oluyole Warriors to turn their season around.

“Football is very emotional, even myself am not happy with the outcome of the game against Nasarawa United,” Yusuf told 3SCFANTV.

The coach said the team understands the concerns of its supporters and is working to improve its performances as the campaign progresses.

“What we are asking from the fans is understanding things are going to be right,” he said.

Shooting Stars have won two, drawn one and lost three of their opening six league matches, leaving the Ibadan club with work to do to improve its position.

The Oluyole Warriors have also endured disappointment on the continental stage after their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup in the first preliminary round.

Despite the difficult opening to the campaign, Yusuf urged supporters not to lose faith in the team.

He stressed that the season is still at an early stage and that there are plenty of matches left for the club to improve its fortunes.

Yusuf also pointed to the importance of finishing strongly rather than judging the team solely by its early-season results as Shooting Stars target a better campaign.
