LOKOJA, Kogi State – Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 12 Brigade, in collaboration with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), have arrested four individuals suspected of collaborating with terrorist groups in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The development was disclosed on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on his verified X account, citing security sources.

According to the report, the suspects were apprehended during a joint intelligence-led operation conducted by troops stationed at the Kabba Patrol Base alongside DSS operatives.

Makama stated that the operation took place at about 12:11 p.m. on Monday at Light Hotel, located along the Odumo-Kabba Road, following credible intelligence linking the suspects to activities associated with terrorist elements.

“The four suspects were arrested without incident and have since been handed over to the DSS for further investigation and possible prosecution,” Makama reported.

The report added that the operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to dismantle terrorist support networks and strengthen security across Kogi State and neighbouring regions.

Authorities are yet to officially disclose the identities of the suspects or the specific terrorist group they are allegedly linked to.

The arrests underscore continued collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the DSS in intelligence-driven operations aimed at disrupting terrorist activities and enhancing public safety.
