Bae U Barbie Reveals Why He Quit Skit Making

Nigerian comedian and content creator Adebayo Ridwan Abidemi, popularly known as Bae U Barbie, has revealed why he stepped away from skit making.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Moraya Show, Bae U said he left the skit-making scene because he was tired of being “average” and wanted to explore something different.

The content creator explained that the idea for his popular comic talk show, Curiosity Made Me Ask, emerged during a period when he was trying to rediscover himself and find a new creative direction.

According to him, he wanted to move away from the conventional skit-making format and create something that would distinguish him from other content creators.

“The concept of Curiosity Made Me Ask came from me finding myself. I was tired of being average and wanted to do something different. I didn’t want to be like the skit makers,” he said.

Bae U also revealed that Zack’s show Between Two Fence served as an inspiration for Curiosity Made Me Ask.

Since launching the show, Bae U has hosted several prominent Nigerians, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, veteran actor Pete Edochie and broadcaster Frank Edoho.

The comedian said, however, that one of his biggest ambitions is yet to be achieved.

He disclosed that his ultimate dream is to interview United States President Donald Trump.

Bae U’s transition from skit making to a comic interview format has marked a different phase in his content creation career, with the show allowing him to engage notable personalities through humour and unconventional questions.
