Nigerian singer Skales has shared an unusual story involving Burna Boy and Davido, revealing how the Grammy-winning star allegedly pleaded for space on Davido’s private jet during a trip to Yola for a music performance.
Skales recounted the incident while discussing a show where he and Burna Boy were both scheduled to perform in the Adamawa State capital.
According to Skales, Burna Boy contacted Davido to ask if he could join his team on the private jet. Davido reportedly agreed to the request, allowing the singer to travel with them.
However, the aircraft was already filled with passengers, leaving little room for the additional guest. Davido consequently had to ask one of his team members to travel the following day to accommodate the arrangement.
Skales said the situation became so crowded that someone had to sit on the toilet seat during the journey because there was no available space.
He also revealed that Davido gave up his own seat for him, making the trip even more memorable.
“Burna called Davido and said, ‘Please, can I join their jet?’ Davido said, ‘Why not?’” Skales recalled.
The singer added that the Yola performance later opened another opportunity for him, as the experience connected him to Major Lazer, the electronic music group with whom he eventually worked on music.
