SBI Media has marked its 13th anniversary by taking its celebration beyond the boardroom, providing health support to thousands of residents of Kosofe community in Lagos.
The independent media agency organised a health-focused outreach where community members received medical checks, health advice and medicated glasses to help manage presbyopia, a common age-related condition that affects close-up vision.
The initiative reflects SBI Media’s growing focus on combining business growth with community impact. Medical professionals conducted basic health assessments and provided guidance to residents, while those requiring support for vision problems received glasses during the exercise.
Speaking on the anniversary, Rotimi Bankole, Managing Director/CEO of SBI Media, said the company’s 13-year journey had been defined by continuous growth, technology adoption and a commitment to delivering stronger solutions for clients.
“However, growth for us is not only about business. We believe the value we create should extend into society. That is why this anniversary is also an opportunity to give back meaningfully to the Kosofe community,” Bankole said.
Kayode Olowoyeye, Group General Manager, SBI Media, said the outreach was designed to create an immediate and practical impact rather than simply mark another year in business. He said seeing thousands of residents receive health checks, medical advice and vision support made the anniversary particularly meaningful.
A community leader, Mrs Adebisi Yusuf, also commended the agency for bringing the medical outreach to Kosofe. She said the initiative provided residents with useful medical attention and advice, while expressing hope that similar programmes would continue in the community.
